The 17.72 in (45 cm) drop covers the upper part of a window, which leaves the glass open to light. The 55.12 in (140 cm) width gives you a flat panel with a little room to gather on the rod. A gathered hang uses more fabric, so a wider window may call for two panels.

To hang it, slide the rod through the pocket at the top and set the rod on its brackets. Spread the fabric flat for a clean line, or push it together for a gathered look. Because the panel is light, a basic rod holds it without extra support.

Care

Machine wash cold. Hang dry. Use a low iron if the fabric needs a touch up after drying. The polyester base dries quickly and holds its shape, so the valance is ready to go back on the rod with little work.

This valance is sold as a single panel, not a pair. Check your window width before you order and add a second panel if you want fuller coverage. The rod pocket top fits common curtain rods, and the light fabric makes the panel easy to swap out with the seasons.
