What this curtain is

This is a cafe curtain made from 100% polyester lace at 100 gsm. The fabric is sheer, so light comes through while the lace pattern softens the view. A tassel trim runs along the bottom edge, and the tassels are included with the panel.

The top has a rod pocket and is made for ceiling installation. The panel hangs flat and opens left and right when you part it. It is not water resistant, so it suits indoor windows rather than damp rooms.

Measure your window opening first, then add a little extra if you want the lace to gather on the rod. A single 59 in (150 cm) panel covers a wide window on its own. For two panels that meet in the middle, order two.

Colors

Three colors are available.

White: bright and clean, good for light walls and small windows. Beige: warm and soft, pairs well with wood trim and cream paint. Black: strong contrast, works in darker kitchens and modern rooms.

All three come in the same lace fabric and the same tassel trim.

How to fit and use it

This panel uses a rod pocket, so you slide the rod through the top channel. It is made for ceiling installation, which keeps the top line neat and lets the lace fall straight.

Cafe curtains usually cover the lower half of a window. The 17.5 in (44 cm) and 23.5 in (60 cm) lengths suit that classic look. The 35.5 in (90 cm) length gives more coverage if you want the lace to reach higher.

Use one panel for a narrow window or a single side. Use two panels for a wide window or a symmetrical look. The sheer lace layers well over blinds and shades without blocking too much light.

Beyond the kitchen, this curtain works on a small bathroom window, a breakfast nook, a laundry room window or a cafe-style opening. The lace reads as vintage and pastoral, so it fits rooms with wood, tile or painted cabinets.
