This is a short curtain made for kitchen windows, cafe windows and small panes where you want light to come through. The fabric is 100% polyester woven gingham at 110 gsm. It feels light in the hand and has a matte finish, so it reads soft rather than shiny.
The top is a tie top. There is no rod pocket. You tie the fabric strips over the rod, which gives the panel a relaxed, gathered look and lets you adjust the height a little as you hang it.
Each panel is 39 in (100 cm) wide. Pick the length that suits your window and how much coverage you want.
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| 39 x 22 in (100 x 56 cm) | Small kitchen windows and half-window coverage |
| 39 x 31 in (100 x 79 cm) | Standard cafe windows and shorter kitchen panes |
| 55 x 22 in (140 x 56 cm) | Wider windows that need more width than length |
| 55 x 31 in (140 x 79 cm) | Wide cafe windows and larger kitchen panes |
Width is measured per panel. If your window is wider than one panel, order two and tie one on each side. The tie top gathers the fabric, so the panel covers a little less width once it is hung than it does flat.
The gingham check comes in two quiet options: beige and white. Beige brings a warm, neutral tone that sits well with wood cabinets and cream walls. White keeps the window bright and blends into light trim and white tile. Both are the same fabric and the same weight, so the choice is only about the look you want in the room.
These curtains are made for side installation on a rod. Slide the rod through the tie tops, then knot or bow each tie to hold the panel in place. Because there is no rod pocket, the panel hangs from the ties and falls in soft folds.
A few things to plan for:
Cafe curtains work in more places than the kitchen. They suit a small bathroom window, a laundry room, a pantry door, a cabinet opening or a home office nook. The short length keeps the sill clear and the tie top keeps the look easy and unfussy.
Machine wash cold. Hang dry. Use a low iron if you want a crisper finish. The woven check holds its shape through washing, and hanging dry keeps the panel from shrinking. Tie tops can be smoothed flat with a low iron before you hang them again.
This is a single-piece panel, not a set. If you need two panels for a wide window, choose a quantity of two. The fabric is 100% polyester, woven, 110 gsm, light and matte. The pattern is a classic gingham check. The panel is rectangular and made for window use. Rod and tiebacks are not included.
It is sold per panel. Each order is a single-piece curtain, so order two if you want a panel on each side of the window.
No. It has a tie top only. You tie the fabric strips over the rod to hang the panel.
Sizes are 39 x 22 in, 39 x 31 in, 55 x 22 in and 55 x 31 in. Colors are beige and white.
Machine wash cold and hang dry. Use a low iron if you want a smoother finish.
