The Star Blackout Curtain is a single rectangular panel made from 100 percent polyester at 230 gsm. The fabric has a matte finish and a soft hand. A twinkle star pattern runs across the face of the cloth in a quiet, even repeat.
The panel is double layer. Two layers of fabric are sewn together, and there is no blackout coating on either one. That means no stiff backing and no coating that can crack or peel over time. The double layer is what does the work of blocking light and adding a little thermal insulation at the window.
The header is a grommet top. Metal rings sit along the top edge and slide onto a rod, so the curtain hangs in soft, even folds. Grommets work with most standard curtain rods and are easy to open and close each day.
Each panel is sold on its own. If you want a fuller look, order two panels for a standard window. The table below lists every size we carry.
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| 39 x 79 in (100 x 200 cm) | Narrow windows, small bedroom windows, kitchens |
| 42 x 94 in (107 x 240 cm) | Tall narrow windows, sliding doors |
| 52 x 72 in (132 x 183 cm) | Standard bedroom and living room windows |
| 52 x 95 in (132 x 241 cm) | Tall windows, floor length hangs |
Measure your rod first. For a full look, the panel width should be about one and a half to two times the width of the window. For length, decide whether you want the hem to sit at the sill, below the sill, or at the floor, then pick the closest size.
The curtain comes in two colors: gray and pink. Gray is the quieter choice and sits well in a living room, a guest room or a home office. Pink brings a softer tone to a bedroom or a reading corner. Both colors keep the same matte finish and the same star pattern.
Grommet top panels go straight onto the rod. Slide the rings on one at a time, then spread the folds by hand so they fall evenly. Because the fabric is double layer, the panel has some weight to it, which helps it hang straight and hold its shape.
For a bedroom, a common setup is one panel on each side of the window, with the rod mounted a few inches above the frame and a few inches wider than the frame on each side. This keeps light from slipping around the edges. For a wider window or a sliding door, use two panels and let them meet in the middle.
The panel is not water resistant, so it is best for indoor windows. It works in a living room, a bedroom, a guest room or a home office.
Machine wash cold. Hang dry. Use a low iron if needed. Wash the panels on their own or with similar colors, and skip bleach. The grommets are metal, so keep the iron away from the top edge and press the fabric only. With a little care, the matte finish and the star pattern stay crisp wash after wash.
Sold per panel, not as a pair. Double layer with no blackout coating. Fabric weight is 230 gsm. Header is grommet top. Colors are gray and pink. Four sizes, from 39 x 79 in (100 x 200 cm) to 52 x 95 in (132 x 241 cm).
No. Each order is a single panel. For a standard window with a split look, order two panels.
Measure your rod width and the drop you want. For a full look, choose a panel width about one and a half to two times the window width. Then pick the length closest to your drop.
Yes. The double layer fabric blocks most light. There is no blackout coating, so a thin line of light may still come in around the edges of the panel.
Yes. Machine wash cold, then hang dry. Use a low iron on the fabric if needed, and keep the iron away from the metal grommets.
