The Stretch Fitted Tablecloth

What it is

The Stretch Fitted Tablecloth is a rectangular cloth made from a 100% polyester spandex weave. The fabric stretches, so it pulls over the table and holds close to the top and sides instead of hanging loose. It is wrinkle resistant, which keeps the surface looking neat through a long meal or event.

The cloth is sold as a single piece. It is plain dyed, so the color runs evenly across the fabric with no printed pattern.

Sizes

Three sizes cover the common rectangular table lengths. Each one is 30 in (76 cm) wide.

Measure your table before you order. Length matters most here, since the stretch fabric is cut to fit a specific table size. If your table falls between two lengths, choose the size closest to your measurement.

Colors

Sixteen colors are available: White, Red, Burgundy, Dark purple, Light gray, Dark cyan, Navy, Black, Ivory, Light purple, Light brown, Dark gray, Light pink, Dark brown, Sky blue and Dark pink.

The range runs from quiet neutrals to deep, saturated tones. White, ivory and light gray suit everyday dining and neutral rooms. Navy, black, burgundy and dark purple hold their own at parties and banquets. The lighter pinks, blues and purples add a softer note for birthdays and family gatherings.

How to fit and use it

Lay the cloth flat on the table and find the corners. Pull one corner over the table edge, then work around the table, stretching the fabric over each remaining corner. Smooth the top with your hands as you go. The spandex weave does the rest, holding the cloth in place without clips or ties.

The fitted shape keeps the cloth close to the table, so it stays put when guests move around and when plates slide across the surface. It works indoors for dining rooms, kitchens and holiday meals, and outdoors for patios, parties and banquets. The stretch fabric also covers worn or plain table surfaces in one step.

Care

Machine wash the cloth, then hang it to dry. The wrinkle resistant fabric means it needs little attention after washing. Hang it straight from the machine and smooth it with your hands, and it is ready for the next meal.
